Sadly, Lilly’s Bat Mitzvah had to be rescheduled due to Hurricane Dorian. But, fortunately the Category 5 storm finally dissipated and the event went off just a few weeks later. The twelve-year-old’s theme was inspired by the world’s most iconic perfume…Chanel No. 5 and it’s origin. The Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) was transformed into a Parisian café with a black and white color palette and a perfect pop of pink. Guests were greeted by a giant freestanding perfume bottle with the Guest of Honor’s No. 12 logo to point them to the valet parking entrance. Upon entering, an 8-foot tall seating chart board directed them to their seats. Tall forged metal towers with acrylic shelf panels stood high on half the tables as they held faux pearls suspended at various lengths along with bubble candle holders illuminated with tea lights and small bunches of white roses. The rest of the tables displayed a tailored pavé collection of white roses wrapped with Lilly’s logo and plenty of candles. The separate teen area was draped with pale pink fabric and each bar was customized with full-color photographs by our in-house art department. The dance floor had another custom logo placed in the center to tie the entire space together. The very chic reception had the scent of a woman, but rocked like a hurricane.
