Sandra and Roy exchanged their vows earlier this year at The Ancient Spanish Monastery. The unique South Florida venue features over 20 acres of landscaped gardens filled with Spanish oaks, rare palms, banyans, lush tropical greenery, and so much more with the 12th century Romanesque and Gothic building as a backdrop. The outdoor ceremony was just magical as the couple literally “tied the knot” in the breathtaking Loggia Garden with floral pomanders hanging from the tree above. The bride carried a cascade of white phalaenopsis orchids while her bridesmaids carried bouquets of white and ivory hydrangea and roses with just the right touch of English ivy. Guests then moved over to the gorgeous reception in the Cloisters to celebrate the newlyweds. An oversize tree with moss and flowers greeted the eager crowd to ask for their well wishes. Elevated centerpieces consisted of coordinating flowers, branches, submerged orchids, and garden foliage were set upon the dining tables while the cake had it’s own floral design adorned with soft foliage and floral blossoms. The preserved architectural treasure could not be a more appropriate venue for this couple to start their own history.
