Cheyenne and Jonathan had grand plans to get married at one of Boca Raton’s premier wedding venues. However, most of their guests were coming from New York and New Jersey and would need to be quarantined for two weeks prior to the big day. Just three weeks shy of the highly anticipated event, the couple had to make the quick and difficult decision to postpone their summer date or move it elsewhere. Nothing could stop this ambitious officer and his bride from saying their vows, so they chose to have their wedding ceremony out of state at an airbnb in Chesterfield, Virginia. This remote location was the “sweet spot” where all their guests could drive to with ease.

Modifying an event is always challenging by itself, but changing states certainly adds another arduous dimension. Nonetheless, we wanted our clients to still have the wedding of their dreams. So, we collaborated with their chosen local florist in Virginia. We shipped all florals directly to Sweet Pea Floral Design LLC and worked together to review the original plans. The color palette was rich with deep reds, burgundy, and merlot, but also soft with tones of pink, white, and cream. The bride’s bouquet included peonies, orchids, roses, and amaranthus which made a stunning visual against the new woodsy outdoor backdrop. COVID-19 has changed so many things since its emergence earlier this year. But, one thing it cannot change is LOVE…and Virginia is for lovers.
